Ohio Emergency Food Assistance Income Guidelines
Below are the income requirements if you need to receive food from a food pantry. Other states may have slightly different income requirements.
Food pantry guidelines are much less strict than other government food programs and usually only require that you bring a drivers license and sign a form that you are eligible to receive food based on the income guidelines.

These are the Ohio income guidelines for July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. To qualify for food through The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) at an Ohio food pantry, your household’s total income before taxes must be at or below the amount listed for your household size. The guidelines are updated every July, so check with your local food pantry if you are reading this after June 2027.
